Overall purpose of role
Business analysts play a key role in aligning the needs of the
business with the technology solution being delivered. The BA works in close
proximity to the development team, product owner and other stakeholders to keep
track of the goals and objectives of the project.
At times the BA may need to serve as a proxy product owner,
especially while representing the product owner with a remote development team.
Key Accountabilities
• Must collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) to work on the
product vision and objectives in the near term as well as the long term
• Help define and work out user journeys
• Work with the Scrum master and PO to come up with a
communication plan, milestone plans and release plans
• Should be able to work with the PO on story map development
• Should be able to handle JIT (Just in time) requirements, to
decompose and distil the information making sure minimum impact to stories in
play
• Should be familiar with INVEST criteria of user story writing
and have experience in Story backlog management
• Should be able to appreciate the complexity of the domain with
implications to compliance and regulatory due to any proposed solution
• Must have demonstrated ability to identify issues, risks and
help guide the Scrum Master and PO on mitigation strategies
• Must ensures that all requirements support the delivery of
business value, fulfill goals and objectives, and meets a stakeholder need
• Have excellent decision making and problem solving skills
• Must have experience with working in multicultural, distributed
teams across the globe
• Must have credit card industry background
• Preferable to have previous experience of working in the
Payments domain

Person Specification
- At least 5 years of software industry experience
